Repair of tools


We will take care of your tools as if they were ours!

We guarantee you a serious and individual approach. All warranty and post-warranty repairs are performed in our Service Centre in Revúca and are a guarantee of using original spare parts, staff expertise and comprehensive assessment of profitability of post-warranty repairs. We will repair your tools for up to five (5) years after removing the model from the offer.

 

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR TOOLS BREAK DOWN

HERMAN tools are designed to withstand demanding industrial conditions. Nevertheless, they can still break down occasionally. If this happens, please fill in the short online form Tool Repair Order with details of the defect, the address for picking up the tool and the address for returning the repaired tool. The pickup address may be different from your invoice address or your business address. We will pick up your tool where you want, and we will send it to where you want (valid for SK, CZ and HU).

Please pay attention to a correct and accurate description of the defect of the tool. This will help us ensure a correct diagnosis and high-quality repair of the tool.

For shipping the tool, pack it carefully in a cardboard box. In the case of a defect of a cordless tool, it is necessary to send the whole set to the Service Centre (tool + charger + batteries) so that a full service inspection could be made. If you bought a bare tool, it is necessary to send at least the battery you work with to the Service Centre for a more accurate diagnosis.

The courier will normally pick up the package from you on the next working day.

Then just check your email inbox. We will keep you updated on the progress of the repair by emails. The technical inspection will be carried out at an authorised service centre. Depending on the result of the inspection, we will send you an assessment and a price offer for the  repair (in case of post-warranty repairs).

We perform warranty repairs within 24 hours of receipt of the tool, and post-warranty repairs within 24 hours of receipt of the price offer confirmation. Once the repair is completed, we send the repaired tool on the same day to the address specified by you.


 

POST-WARRANTY REPAIR REFUSED BY CUSTOMER

If you decide to refuse the repair based on the price offer, you will be charged for the work – technical inspection needed for preparing the price offer for the repair, as well as the transport costs of EUR 5 excluding VAT for each trip. The hourly rate for the technical inspection is EUR 20 excluding VAT. The unrepaired tool will be sent back to you, and you will be required to pay at the time of its delivery (Cash on Delivery).

In the case you do not wish to be sent back the unrepaired tool, we will arrange for free disposal of the discarded tool in line with Act No 79/2015 Coll. and Directive 2012/19/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on waste electrical and electronic equipment. Upon request, we will issue a decommissioning protocol for you. In this case, we will send you an invoice for the technical inspection and transport costs of EUR 5 excluding VAT.

 

FREE OF CHARGE INSPECTION

For any warranty or post-warranty repair or preventive maintenance, a free of charge inspection of the tool is performed in line with EN (STN) 331600, and a free of charge inspection protocol is issued.

In this way, we help protect health and safety of your employees, and reduce troubles that could result from workplace safety inspections.

 

REGISTER OF PRODUCTION NUMBERS

If you buy tools via our online shop (or by phone directly from the HERMAN headquarters), you do not need to keep the invoices or warranty certificates. We take over the management of the documentation of each tool.

If you buy tools in a brick-and-mortar shop, you can register them filling in our Registration Form. We will take over the register management, which means that you do not need to keep the invoices or warranty certificates anymore.
