Warranty
The warranty terms and conditions provided by HERMAN Slovakia Production s.r.o, Mokrá Lúka 226, 050 01 Revúca, Slovakia (hereinafter referred to as “HERMAN“ or “we“) apply to machines, devices, chargers and batteries without exception (hereinafter referred to as “tools“).
HERMAN warrants tools for three (3) years from the date of sale of the product to the end user, unless otherwise agreed with the customer.
During the warranty period, the warranty covers any defects of the product that are due to manufacturing or a material flaw of the product existing on the date of purchase. The warranty does not cover defects that are due to an incorrect use of the product, contrary to the instructions for use, or incorrect connection to a power source.
Conditions for free repair:
1. The tool must be sent to an authorized service centre immediately after detecting the defect, in a complete state, cleaned and with a description of the defect, which is essential for a correct diagnosis and high-quality repair.
2. The tool has been regularly maintained, used for the intended purpose and in accordance with the instructions for use.
3. The motor of the tool has not been overloaded and there are no signs of damage from external influences.
4. No unauthorized persons tampered with the tool.
5. The tool has not been used in uncommon conditions (excessive humidity, chemical or mechanical influences not corresponding to the usual working environment).
6. The tool has an undamaged and legible serial number.
Free repair includes:
1. Transport of the tool to and from the service centre (valid for SK, CZ and HU, regardless of the country in which the tool was purchased);
2. Work and spare parts except accessories and spare parts of consumable nature.
Warranty does not cover:
1. Parts of consumable nature which are subject to natural wear and tear due to use;
2. Reduction of battery performance to 40% of the original performance;
3. Defects caused by continual excessive use, especially in industrial continuous operation or with long-last above-average stress on the tool;
4. Repairs which in the opinion of the authorized service technician are not in accordance with the specified warranty conditions. In this case, we will send the customer a price offer for the repair.
The most common cases of refusal of a repair free of charge:
• Extreme impact or fall
• Foreign objects in the motor space, e.g., nails, screws, sand, dirt
• The tool used for given application was wrong
• Any modification of the tool
• Excessively long exposure to substances that cause rusting, corrosion etc.
• Tools connected to a wrong voltage
• Use of incorrect accessories or batteries
• Insufficient performance of recommended service and maintenance (especially in the case of hammers)
• Use of incorrect lubricants
• Lack of lubricants
• Water penetration
Batteries – general care:
· Batteries are to be charged at room temperature. Charging at temperature below -10°C or above 50°C may cause permanent damage to the battery. If the battery is hot, let it cool in a dry and well-ventilated room until it reaches room temperature.
· Avoid discharging the batteries to the point where the tool stops working. This can cause permanent damage, and it will no longer be able to fully charge the battery.
· Keep the battery in a cool and dry place.
Final Provisions
